The judging process for The Ultimate Gap Year competition is well underway, and Joblinx manager Mark Wellington is on the judging panel.

The Gap Year Competition is a marketing campaign managed by the Queensland Government’s International Education and Training Unit, who is the lead government agency for the promotion and marketing of the Queensland International Education and Training industry. Entrants have the chance to WIN the ultimate gap year experience to Queensland, Australia with $250,000 worth of prizes to be won!

Some of the judges include Patrick Hafenstein (Principal Trade Officer International Education and Training Unit  - Trade and Investment Queensland), Anna Gebbet (Business Manager for International Education and Training Unit in Trade and Investment Queensland), Robin Simpson (Managing Director – Langports English Language College) and our very own Joblinx Manager Mark Wellington.

The panel interviewed a total 50 of candidates from Japan, Brazil, Taiwan, Colombia and Korea over 5 days and all judges were most impressed by the quality and calibre of the candidates for the Gap Year competition. Each candidate was assessed on their marketing and promotion skills, academic achievement, job readiness and diplomacy skills.
