The Master of Information Technology (Business Informatics) is designed for recognised IT professionals who seek to further their knowledge and skills in computing, programming, networking and business.  Applicants will have an undergraduate degree in information technology or computer science.

Students complete all subjects in the Business Informatics major as well as core subjects prescribed for the Master of Information Technology.

You can complete the Master of Information Technology as an independent award or combine it with the Master of Business Administration (MBA) as a joint degree.

Information technology graduates who also possess critical business skills and acumen to fully leverage their technical abilities into profitable products and services, are in especially high demand.

Work-Integrated Learning subjects are also available in this course.

 

COURSE STRUCTURE

The MIT (Business Informatics) is
comprised of 16 subjects. Students
must undertake four (4) foundation
subjects, eight mandatory subjects
and the choice of (4) four optional
subjects. Optional subjects comprise
of (2) two Information Technology
and Business subjects from the
Information Technology and Business
units offered by JCU Brisbane and two
(2) of any appropriate Level 5 subjects
offered at JCU Brisbane as approved
by the Campus Director.
Students who satisfy the
requirements of this program meet
the requirements to apply for
membership with the Australian
Computer Society (ACS).
